About the Course

This two-day course introducing the fundamentals of optical communications is intended to give you a broad, yet comprehensive overview of fiber optic communications systems, including datacom, telecom, cable television, and other optical networks. The objective is to understand and demonstrate the basics of optical communications, module-level subsystems, how optical networks are assembled, and how they function.
